ShareMarket Academy (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the ShareMarket Academy mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information Collection and Use
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data:
- Identity Information: Full name, Email address, and Phone number.
- Profile Data: Profile picture/avatar and user-defined preferences.
- Learning Progress: Course enrollment details, topic completion status, quiz scores, XP (Experience Points), and streaks.
- Simulated Financial Data: Virtual stock holdings, watchlist items, and transaction history within the simulation environment.
Device and Usage Data:
- FCM Tokens: Unique device identifiers for Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications.
- Log Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, device type, operating system version, app settings, and usage timestamps.
2. Third-Party Service Providers
We employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf:
- Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication, real-time database management, analytics, and crash reporting.
- Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data (such as Advertising IDs) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
- Cloud Hosting: Our backend API is hosted on secure servers to sync your learning progress across devices.
3. Data Permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- Internet: To sync data with our servers and load news content from our official website.
- Storage (Read/Write): To allow you to download and save your Course Completion Certificates.
- Notifications: To send reminders for daily quizzes and course updates.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You have the right to request deletion of your data.
Account Deletion Process:
You may request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data (including progress and simulated portfolio) by:
- Using the “Delete Account” button in the Profile section of the App or visiting our Online Deletion Portal.
- Emailing us directly at support@sharemarketcourse.app.
Upon request, we will delete your data from our active databases within 48 hours.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
6. Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “effective date” at the top.
